Facebook Messenger adds secret basketball minigame

Facebook Messenger's secret basketball minigame is live.

Facebook's Messenger app has a secret hidden basketball minigame for those who know where to find it.
Facebook Messenger's basketball minigame is sure to drive users crazy while killing plenty of time waiting for those reply texts.

Make sure your Messenger app is updated, and then send the basketball emoji to somebody. Then tap the basketball to activate the game.
It might cause your friend to wonder why you're sending along a basketball emoji, but you'll be too busy draining jump shots to worry about that.
The game itself is pretty unremarkable. Players flick the ball toward the hoop, trying to hit as many consecutive shots as possible. The game keeps track of how many shots you've made in a row. After 10 straight makes, the hoop begins to move from side to side.
When you make a shot, Messenger gives you a high five emoji or some other form of encouragement. Misses end the round and earn you a sad emoji.
Word is the hoop starts to move faster at 20 makes (but we have yet to get that far). And there could be other increases in difficulty every 10 shots.
What's your high score? Share it in the comments below.
